The Filter Assembly (Insertion Device) consists of a vacuum housing and a filter holder which is mounted on an UHV linear Feedthrough. The filter holder carries 4 different foils for the defined attenuation of a synchrotron beam. Every filter can be moved to a fixed position into the beam.
