This is a system for the 1PW test area with steering and focusing optics.

The system consists of 3 chambers. Two large, height adjustable rectangular chambers made of stainless steel, one chamber is a single piece and one is a two piece chamber. The third chamber is a large 8-cornered chamber made of aluminum. The chambers are designed for a final pressure of ≤ 1 * 10-6. Furthermore, optical tables (breadboards) for each chamber which are mechanically decoupled and adjustable in X, Y and Z direction independently of the chambers, beam tubes to connect the chambers, various vacuum slides, without vacuum system.

Inside, there are mirrors mounted in micrometer-precise positioning systems (translation and rotation) that direct the laser beam to the appropriate experimental areas.
